All of this is found in a place of quiet solitude away from the distractions of the world. We are the last dude ranch at the end of a gravel road in the middle of a million acre wilderness. With a maximum of 20 guests you will receive our personal touch. You, the staff, and owners will share meals together, a time to reflect on the day and learn more about each other. By the end of your stay you have acquired some long time friends. Dude ranches try to preserve a special way of life and the individual environment in which they are located, so people can enjoy these experiences for generations to come. Frequently past guests report that this was the best vacation they have ever taken. For "city slickers", a Montana dude ranch vacation can be as exotic as traveling to foreign countries! No other vacation offers as many opportunities to enjoy the fresh mountain air and fish in sparkling mountain streams while taking in the pristine beauty that surrounds us. Fly fishing on our peaceful (and private) river frontage on the Boulder River provides just such an opportunity! We also offer instruction to those just learning this sport. Depending on the weather, you can also experience a scenic float trip down the Yellowstone River or even a four-wheel drive trip to a glacier lake and ghost town of Independence. Plus, many guests love our guided and unguided hikes to unique and eye opening places. Seeing unique places from the back of a horse gives lifetime memories of scenic views that can not be surpassed. If you're new to horseback riding, we provide beginning instruction for those six years and older. You'll explore scenic mountain trails on horseback while you gain riding skill. Hiking on mountain trails and through meadows of beautiful wildflowers takes us all back to a less complicated time, allowing us to take pleasure in the more simple things in life. What makes a dude ranch different from other vacation spots is the warm personal Western hospitality that you sense when arriving at a ranch location.
