For Dudes That Are City Slickers
For city slickers, a Montana dude ranch vacation can be as exotic as traveling to foreign countries! One of our top activities is flyfishing on our peaceful (and private!) frontage on the Boulder River; we offer instruction to those who are just learning this sport. You'll explore scenic mountain trails on horseback as you gain riding skill. Depending on the weather, you can also experience a float trip down the Yellowstone River and especially a four-wheel drive trip to Blue Lake or the ghost town of Independence! Plus, many guests love our guided and unguided hikes to unique and eye-opening places.
We are a small guest ranch with a maximum of 20 visitors per week. We cater to anybody who likes outdoor activities or wants to experience an adventurous vacation. For families looking to spend time together, you'll be glad to know that we don't offer separate programs for kids. We think our activities offer a perfect way for parents and children to bond in a fun and friendly atmosphere. If you are new to horseback riding, we provide beginning instruction for those six years and older. You'll explore scenic mountain trails on horseback as you gain riding skill. All in all, a vacation at Hawley Mountain is one that's both fun and rewarding. Between the gorgeous scenery and exciting activities, you're bound to leave with memories that will last a lifetime.
