Explore the outdoors where man has roamed our meadows for at least 7000 years. Tom Hawley homesteaded the ranch which was purchased in 1917 by the Jarrett family to be used as grazing land for cattle and sheep. The idea of a Montana dude ranch was realized by Bill Jarrett in the 1970’s. His concept of this guest ranch continues today, owned and operated by his brother, Ron Jarrett, and partner Bryant Blewett.
You will have a fine opportunity to explore the great outdoors in an unspoiled environment from the back of your horse. Qualified wranglers, good horses, and unique mountain trails in the wilderness excite horseback riders of all ages and abilities. A horse is selected to match your horseback riding skills. That horse is then yours for a week! Beginning horseback riding instruction is provided. Because of guest capacity limits and the number of wranglers we have, you can ride in small groups.
Fly fish the Boulder River where our ranch has private river frontage kept as “catch and release” for over 30 years. We provide a “guilt free” family vacation, where some family members flyfish, while the rest experience other ranch activities.
Other activities, such as hiking to scenic areas, our 4x4 trip to a ghost town and gold mines, a scenic boat float down the Yellowstone River, and evening cookouts and campfires round out a full week of wilderness experiences at our Montana dude ranch on Hawley Mountain. Come see for yourself what fun experiences are offered at Hawley Mountain Guest Ranch.
